If you follow me on social media, I’ve talked a little bit about the fact that I’m launching a new thing. If you read the blog, you’ll also realize that the focus of the new thing isn’t really new.
I write about the indie lingerie world a lot. I work with indie designers frequently. I’m buddies with lots of really cool indie designers. I did a whole campaign to convince everyone that indie made to measure lingerie was for them last year. So the fact that I’m launching some full service copywriting programs for independent lingerie designers and independent boutiques shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone.
But, before I do, I’m going to take this week to talk about the value of indies from both a consumer, industry and business perspective. I’m going to talk about what great copywriting can do for indie business owners and why they don’t tend to hire copywriters as much as big companies do (it’s related to much more than budget, actually). Basically if you’re interested in the business side of indie lingerie, this is a week full of awesome content for you. If you’re here because you want to see more pretty bras, we’ll be back to that next week with a review of the Rita Bra by Elomi.
I’ll be releasing the details of the Indie Garden Club on Friday, but if you’re interested in more information you can go ahead and sign up for the mailing list now. I won’t be doing much selling off of it: it’s simply designed to be a place where independent lingerie designers, brands and boutiques can get marketing tips and useful information. It will be fun, friendly and have lots of pretty graphics.
