It’s no secret that I’m an Elomi superfan, but even I was impressed by the amount of lovely offerings for Spring/Summer 2014. Elomi is doing what more lingerie companies should be focusing on: revamping proven favorites in lovely colors, offering expanded options beyond bras and panties and focusing on some niche areas that will create lifelong customers.
We’ll start with the revamped old favorites. I love my Betty set, so I’m thrilled to see it becoming available in two more lovely yet easy to wear colors. The raspberry color is above and the light pink color is below. My only request is that the light pink version would become a continuity offering – lots of pale ladies find that to work better than beige as a nude bra! I will be picking both up to add to my daily lingerie rotation.
As of this Autumn/Winter season I will own three Ritas, so part of me feels like adding more to my collection may be overkill. However, I’m still tempted. These colors are gorgeous, these bras wash and wear incredibly well and the J-hook option makes them extra useful. If you’re new to Elomi and want a good introduction, try either the Rita or the Betty.
I love this really bold pattern (in my favorite color, no less!). The Tiffany is based on the Betty shape, which means it should be an easy sell for lots of people. It’s great to see Elomi taking their popular shapes and turning them into sets that look totally different.
I’m not actually sold on this pattern yet, but I do love that this Persia bra is designed for short waisted and petite women. The full busted/plus size/petite market isn’t talked about much, but there are lots of women out there who will appreciate designs like this. I’ll probably try it even if the pattern doesn’t grow on me.
Speaking of patterns, this is the newest incarnation of the Elomi longline. I have the Roxy and love it (there will be a review soon) but the pattern was pretty divisive. I like this pattern, but I’m not sure that everyone else will. I admire Elomi taking chances, but I know lots of people are hoping for a solid version of this. I really hope that they keep making this longline shape for future seasons.
This babydoll is the new addition to the Maria line and I need it now. I love the elegance and I love the ruffles.
More multiway bras are coming, which makes me very happy. This one only goes up to an H cup, but looks like it will be the Elomi version of the Freya Deco. It is moulded and looks like it gives a great plunge shape.
I really like my Elomi bikini, but I’m not covering the Elomi swim catalog for this blog because there wasn’t much that was new in it. The two pieces that I loved the most were the swim coverups. I think lots of people will like this shape and the second one is an elegant dress that could almost double as a day dress.
