I made another eShakti order awhile back after the success of my first one, mostly because they had a pre-Fall sale on and it had two dresses I really wanted in it. I loved the look of this sketchy style tulip print as well as the unusual set of colors in it. I loved it right away and meant to review it, but I haven’t gotten around to it before today because I’ve been wearing it so much! It’s the perfect dress for autumn in warm climates.
The standard dress comes without sleeves and at a below the knee length. I added short sleeves, changed it to be knee length and added a wide scoop neck. I also used the custom measurements option to make sure it all sat properly. With the pre-Fall sale discount, it was about $30.
All eShakti dresses come with pockets and bra strap keeps, which I think of as details that you don’t usually see at this price point. The fabric is really light – it’s definitely a pretty unfancy polyester, but the whole thing is lined which is a nice touch. It’s also wrinkle proof and comes out just like new from the washer and dryer, which to me seems like a reasonable tradeoff.
This dress is perfect for the two season environment that is New Orleans. When it gets colder I’ll wear it with my navy Urkye knit jacket or a trench coat, so it’ll get lots of wear throughout the fall and winter. One of the few things I miss here is having four full seasons, so I feel like this dress alludes to traditional autumn colors without feeling out of character in the permanently sunny South.
I also grabbed this wool dress in the same order, which is absolutely gorgeous but insanely warm. It’ll show up on the blog when it gets below 85 degrees here, I promise!
I have some of the $35 off your first order coupons left on my account as well, so if you want to put in an order just leave your email in the comments and I’ll send out a coupon for you!
