I was heartbroken to find out that I missed the League of Ladies Kickstarter awhile back. The designs were cute, the concept was amazing and the price was great. Luckily, The Lingerie Lesbian picked up a pair and reviewed it for us all! Imagine my intense delight when I found out that League of Ladies would not only be back, but be back in partnership with one of my favorite lingerie startups (Dear Kate) and my personal business spirit animal (owner Julie Sygiel). I’ve been lucky enough to meet Julie and chat with her over the phone at length, so I know exactly how much time and sweat she’s put into her insanely successful business.
The League of Ladies collaboration includes four prints of feminist icons including Amelia Earhart, Frida Kahlo, Marie Curie and Harriet Tubman. Each panty features a unique front and back design, along with Dear Kate’s amazing performance fabric and mini liner. These panties are machine washable, long lasting and leak and stain resistant. While the price per panty is high at $44, these are as unique as a pair from your favorite Etsy designer and will probably last longer.
As an aside, I love the model diversity in this campaign! It’s great to see multiple skin tones and size ranges represented. The sizes range from XS to 3X, which is great to see.
I love the stars on the back of the Harriet version!
The flowers and beakers on the back of the Marie panties are pretty great too.
This is the perfect line of panties for those of us who used to be into the history parts of American Girl dolls, but are now all grown up. If you want some, I’d pick them up quickly, as their leggings sold out almost instantly the last time they did a Kickstarter. I suspect the demand for this line may be equally as high. If you sign up for their newsletter you get a 20% off code, which brings the full set down to $130!
