Curvy Kate Set to Launch Sexy Sister Brand “Scantilly” for Autumn/Winter 2015

This news of a new sister brand by Curvy Kate has been out for awhile, but I wanted to give it more than a quick Facebook post’s worth of attention. For fans of the old Tempt Me/Tease Me line by Curvy Kate, this will be welcome news.

The new line will be called Scantilly and will come in sizes 30D to 38HH. It will be a boudoir focused line with slightly better materials then the standard Curvy Kate line – and a slightly higher price point to go with it. Curvy Kate bras currently run around $45 in the UK, but the new Scantilly options will be in the $55 to $60 range. Keep in mind that these prices will increase for US retailers due to import fees and other factors.

The early pictures from this line are showing lots of praiseworthy things: sultry leopard print, sheer mesh, cutout details, bondage inspired elements and full special occasion sets.  I especially love the leopard print waspie and the pleated details on the cups of the second set. While Curvy Kate hasn’t talked about this, I suspect this line will also see a return of their push up/cleavage creating bras that helped them gain such a big fan base in the first place.

What do you think of the new Scantilly line so far? Are you planning on trying it out this coming autumn?

  1. So far I think I like the aesthetic, but I see too much black and not enough rich, luxurious colors like burgundy, navy, silky beiges, etc. Also I’m disappointed by the lack of 28 bands.

    • I’m with you – bring on the color! I don’t buy lots of black lingerie, so I’m hoping that the line is bigger than this and they just haven’t released any photos of the other stuff yet. They have a great opportunity to step in and grab some die hard Fauve customers now that it has recently folded if they put out some colorful and classic designs.

  2. Lovely possibilities!

I’d like to hear their rationale on the decision to reduce cup/band size range in this line.

CK can’t claim they don’t know how to make bras in smaller band/cup and larger band/cup combos…

    • I suspect they’re doing a trial with a smaller size range to see if their audience will support a higher price point, but that’s just my educated guess versus any insider information. If this line takes off, I can’t imagine them not expanding it. It’s insanely expensive to launch a new brand and they probably want to see how it sells in a “core” range before they put in even more time and money.

  3. I am crossing all my fingers and toes that they will have Scantilly products at Curve. I can’t WAIT to see them in real life!

    • Please let me know what you think if you get to see them! I’m really excited to hear how the more luxurious materials feel and if there’s a measureable difference when you see the sets in person.
